Guilty Plea For Bridgeport Woman In Sex Trafficking Case: Report
The defendant was accused of trafficking minors, according to authorities.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 38-year-old Bridgeport woman pleaded guilty this week in connection with a sex trafficking case, in which she was accused of arranging for an adult man to have sex with minors at a Norwalk hotel for money, the Connecticut Post reported.
The woman, Teresa Martinez, reportedly pleaded guilty Tuesday in Stamford Superior Court to charges of trafficking in persons and risk of injury to a minor. At sentencing, she faces a prison term of six years, followed by five years of supervised release.
Martinez and Stamford resident Eugene Luini were arrested by Norwalk police in 2022, following an investigation into sex trafficking of juveniles in Norwalk. The investigation reportedly began after the state Department of Children and Families received an anonymous tip.
