BRIDGEPORT, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Hero's job: He does everything at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament on Union Street in a Bridgeport. He is the custodian to the Managing Priest of the Blessed Sacrament Church. He rises early, goes to bed late in order to fit in everything in his day.

Relationship to nominee: Parish Priest
Reason for recognition: I refer to him as Mother Teresa's son because Fr. Skip is the epitome of sacrificing self to help his parishioners.
One thing to know: He is a self-less human who puts the needs of others before himself. He uses his meager salary to support and assist the Blessed Sacrament Church, as well as his parishioners!
Thank you for all you do, Father Skip Karcsinki!
