1. 6 Arrested On Narcotics Charges In Bridgeport: Police (patch.com) — Bridgeport residents are learning more about a major narcotics and firearms investigation centered on the Greene Homes Housing complex, where six people were arrested and guns, drugs, and cash were seized. Police say all suspects were already on probation or parole, and the case, led by the Bridgeport Task Force with help from regional agencies, is ongoing with more arrests expected.
   

2. 17 People Displaced By Bridgeport Fire: Officials (patch.com) — Seventeen Bridgeport residents, including five children, are temporarily displaced after a midday fire on Broad Street, though firefighters quickly knocked down the blaze and no injuries were reported. Shelton man gets 21 months in prison for stealing $145k in COVID-19 relief funds (nhregister.com) — A Shelton business owner has been sentenced in Bridgeport federal court to 21 months in prison and three years of supervised release for fraudulently obtaining COVID-19 relief funds and unemployment benefits. Prosecutors say he misrepresented his company’s finances on PPP applications and filed bogus unemployment claims, including in the names of deceased people, and must repay more than $240,000.

The rankings focus on outcomes for uncomplicated pregnancies and highlight hospitals’ C‑section rates, breastfeeding support, and other quality measures. Several other facilities statewide were also noted for high-performing maternity services.
   

5. Bridgeport man charged with painting swastikas on Westport building, police say (thehour.com) — A Bridgeport resident has been charged after police linked him to antisemitic graffiti painted on a former bank building in Westport and several locations in Fairfield. He faces bias intimidation and criminal mischief charges in both towns and is due in state Superior Court in Bridgeport in January, developments Bridgeport readers may want to follow closely.
