Pedestrian In Critical Condition After Hit-And-Run Bridgeport Crash
The person was struck by an SUV Tuesday afternoon on Chopsey Hill Road in Bridgeport, according to police.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 44-year-old man was listed in critical condition at St. Vincent's Medical Center Tuesday afternoon, after he was struck by an SUV on Chopsey Hill Road in Bridgeport, according to police. The SUV fled the scene after the collision, authorities said.
The crash occurred just before 3 p.m. in the 400 block, and the pedestrian was unresponsive when emergency personnel arrived at the scene.
According to Bridgeport Police Sgt. Darryl Wilson, the SUV fled in an unknown direction after striking the man.

Tuesday's hit-and-run crash was the second such incident on Chopsey Hill Road, in as many days, that left a person injured, according to Bridgeport police.
