Pedestrian Critically Injured In Bridgeport Crash: Police
The crash occurred Monday night on Pequonnock Street near Park Avenue, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A man is in critical condition in St. Vincent's Medical Center after he was struck by a vehicle Monday night on Pequonnock Street near Park Avenue in Bridgeport, according to police.
The crash occurred at about 9:40 p.m., and the victim, who authorities said may be in his 60s, suffered serious injuries, and was seen lying on the ground unable to move following the incident.
Bridgeport Police Sgt. Darryl Wilson said in a statement that the striking vehicle remained at the scene after the collision, and no other injuries were reported.

"After a preliminary investigation, it was determined a 2011 silver Acura MDX being operated by a 59-year-old Bridgeport male was traveling west on Pequonnock Street and struck an unidentified male pedestrian attempting to cross the street from the westbound sidewalk," Wilson said.
