BRIDGEPORT, CT — The daughter of Bridgeport resident Sharmila Ali broke her arm in May 2024 while playing on the monkey bars at Waltersville School, and now Ali is suing the school district for negligence, the Connecticut Post reported.

Ali is claiming school staffers did not properly supervise play at the elementary school, which resulted in the child injury.

In addition to negligence, the school district is reportedly also accused of maintaining an unsafe playground for younger students, in part due to the height of the monkey bars.
