Sentence Handed Down In Killing Of 18-Year-old Bridgeport Man: Report

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Romaine Morgan, a 20-year-old Bridgeport man accused of killing 18-year-old Kejohn Johnson in 2024, was sentenced this week to 35 years in prison in connection with the crime, the Connecticut Post reported.

Morgan was initially charged with murder, tampering with evidence, and carrying a pistol without a permit, but reached a deal with prosecutors to allow him to plead guilty to first-degree manslaughter with a firearm and the pistol charge.

Following his incarceration, Morgan will reportedly serve 10 years of special parole.
