Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested By Bridgeport Police, Authorities Say
The suspect, a Bridgeport man, is accused of attacking a teenage girl, Bridgeport police said.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 28-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested Tuesday in connection with what Bridgeport police said was a violent sexual assault on "a teenage female student on her way to school this morning" on Railroad Avenue.
Cordero Javier Greaves was taken into custody at his residence at about 1 p.m. by detectives from the Bridgeport Police Special Victims Unit. Members of the unit were searching for Greaves throughout the morning with the help of Task Force Officers, Patrol Officers, and members of the School Resource Unit.

- First-degree sexual assault
- Risk of injury to a minor
- Illegal sexual contact with a person under 16 years of age
- First-degree unlawful restraint
- Second-degree threatening
Additional details of the incident were not disclosed.
Greaves is being held in lieu of bail of $750,000.
