Step Up for the Brave Challenge: Take Steps To End Veteran Homelessness on August 16
Stair climb fundraiser to raise funds for Connecticut Veterans experiencing homelessness, hunger, and mental health challenges.
The 11th Annual Step Up for the Brave Challenge will take place on Saturday August 16. Over 500 participants will run or walk stairs to raise funds for Connecticut Veterans experiencing homelessness, hunger, and mental health challenges.
Taking place at the Martire Family Arena at Sacred Heart University, this 90-minute challenge allows participants to take laps on the 500-step stair-climb challenge throughout the arena or tackle the 1,000-step non-competitive walking challenge. Those unable to attend the event in person may participate in a virtual walking challenge, taking place from August 11-15.
“Veteran homelessness still very much exists in this country. This event benefits the many Veterans across Connecticut who are struggling with homelessness, hunger and mental health challenges. We urge everyone to participate either by joining this incredible event, or making a contribution; no donation is too small,” said Vince Santilli, CEO/Executive Director of Homes for the Brave.
