Brookfield Arts Commission Invites Residents to Meet the Artists

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield Arts Commission invites residents to meet the artists of the latest art exhibit at Town Hall at the artist reception on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016.
ShawnaLee Kwashnak and Dawn O’Creen will greet guest in the Town Hall lobby, 100 Pocono Road, Brookfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2 to discuss their work and their current exhibit. Refreshments will be served.
ShawnaLee Kwashnak, of Middlebury, is a pet portrait artist who graduated Cum Laude in Illustration & Printmaking from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury in 1996. She is a member of the Richter Association for the Arts, Nutmeg Collective etc. She served as Youth Art Director for the Ridgefield Guild of Artists and created a youth program during the 1990’s. She will soon be publishing a book about a Danbury Animal Welfare Society's mural she created in the near future.
