Brookfield Four Corners is Getting New Name: Report
Town officials hope residents will start calling the downtown area by a new name.
BROOKFIELD, CT — Town officials hope say the name Four Corners no more. According to a report by the News Times, they hope residents start calling the downtown area Brookfield Town Center.
Hal Kurfehs told the publication he said the new name represents not a geographical location, but a "livable, walkable commercial center." The town's zoning laws and the Plan of Conservation and Development already refer to the area as the Town Center District.
