
A traffic stop for using a cell phone while driving resulted in a Brookfield man being arrested on forgery charges.
According to police, Cavin Gayle, II, 21, of Flax Hill Road, Brookfield, was observed using a cell phone without a hands free device while driving on Federal Road at 4:32 p.m. on Aug. 17.
Gayle was pulled over and, while being interviewed by the officer, he was found to be in possession of a forged New Jersey license.
Galye was arrested and charged with using a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle and forgery in the second degree.
He was released on a promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Aug. 27.
