Brookfield Teen Had Pound Of Pot, Hash Oil, Xanax: Police
Two area teens were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop Monday.

WILTON, CT — Two teens were arrested in Wilton with over one pound of marijuana, hash oil and xanax pills following a traffic stop Monday, according to police. Jazmine Mccabe, 18 of Brookfield and Mateus Nascimento-Dacosta, 19, of Danbury were arrested at 2:36 a.m. on Danbury Road and Catalpa Rd.
Police say they stopped the driver Mccabe for driving with improper headlights, and smelled burnt marijuana in the car. A search of the car led to the seizure of 1.125 pounds of marijuana, one ounce of butane hash oil, 28 Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) refills for e-cigarettes and five xanax pills. During arraignment Monday, Mccabe did not enter a plea on charges of use of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and improper number of headlamps. She was released on a promise to appear.

Nascimento-Dacosta was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held on a $15,000 bond at the time of arrest. Information on his arraignment was not immediately available.
