Brookfield Woman Arrested For Boating Under Influence: Report

Police say the woman was verbally abusive to marina patrons.

BROOKFIELD, CT — A local woman was arrested for boating under the influence Friday night on Candlewood Lake, reports the News Times. Officials say they stopped Jennifer Muehlfeld, 43, for driving a boat without proper navigation lights.

Conservation police also say Muehlfeld did not have a Safe Boating Certificate and did not have proper flotation devices on board. Officers brought her to shore, where they say she became agitated and punched and kicked a picnic table and power transformers.

Police also say she was verbally abusive to marina patrons.

Muehlfeld was arrested with the help of Brookfield police and released on a $1,000 bond.
