BROOKFIELD, CT — A local woman was arrested for <a href="http://www.newstimes.com/local/article/Brookfield-woman-charged-with-drunk-boating-on-11736633.php" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">boating under the influence Friday night</a> on Candlewood Lake, reports the News Times. Officials say they stopped Jennifer Muehlfeld, 43, for driving a boat without proper navigation lights. Conservation police also say Muehlfeld did not have a Safe Boating Certificate and did not have proper flotation devices on board. Officers brought her to shore, where they say she became agitated and punched and kicked a picnic table and power transformers. Police also say she was verbally abusive to marina patrons. Muehlfeld was arrested with the help of Brookfield police and released on a $1,000 bond.
