Bunny Breakfast To Raise Money For Brookfield's World Finalist Teams
The event will help Odyssey of the Mind's problems-solving teams from Brookfield compete in the World Finals.
From Brookfield Odyssey of the Mind:
Brookfield, Connecticut -Brookfield Odyssey of the Mind is hosting a Bunny Breakfast to raise money for Brookfield’s teams that will head to World Finals.
The Bunny Breakfast will take place on Saturday, March 19, 8 a.m. -11:30 a.m. in the Brookfield High School cafeteria.
Odyssey of the Mind is an international program of creative problem-solving competitions. Teams from across the US and 25 additional countries have been hard at work on their solution for months, meeting multiple times per week.
“Odyssey of the Mind really provides students with a hands-on opportunity to develop 21st century skills”, said Emily Menendez-Aponte, Coordinator for Brookfield. “Coaches may not contribute to the solution in any way, so teams really have to collaborate, use engineering skills, artistic skills and technology skills to deliver their solution.”
Odyssey of the Mind is self-funded program. In 2015, Brookfield sent a record six teams to World Finals. When considering travel, lodging and other expenses, attending World Competition adds up. Brookfield Odyssey of the Mind makes every effort to fundraise so we can send all our hard-working, winning teams to Worlds.
If you would like to support our Odyssey of the Mind children, please join us at the Bunny Breakfast. Enjoy food, games, raffles and more while supporting these hard-working teams. To reserve your spot, email bunnybreakfast2016@gmail.com.
