Architects presented designs for a new library building to the Board of Selectmen this week.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Building a new library building would cost the town over $14.7 million, reports the News Times. At the Board of Selectman's meeting this week, Architects chosen for the project presented designs and a cost estimate.
The designs boasted spaces for teens, children, technology and community meetings. It would be built on a soccer field on the Town Hall campus.
The town would only have to pay $12.2 million, architects estimated, as $1 million would come from a state grant and $1 million would come from donations from the Library Foundation.
