BROOKFIELD, CT — Former school finance director Arthur Colley was sentenced on Wednesday for four charges of first degree larceny to three years probation for stealing over $100,000 from the Brookfield school district, according to The News Times.

Colley pleaded guilty to three reduced charges of fourth degree larceny and is ordered to pay the district’s student activity fund $1,000 in each of the three years of his sentence. He is also required to perform 300 hours of community service over the course of three years.

The case of larceny of over $120,000 of Brookfield School funds on personal items revealed that an audit showed approximately $124,000 in questionable spending by Colley and his former assistant Elizabeth Kerekes, who received a lesser punishment for the part she played under a special probation program.
