Former Brookfield Psychiatrist Seeks Victim's Diary in Sexual Assault Case: Report

The former psychiatrist of Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza is accused of sexual assault at his office in Brookfield.

NEWTOWN, CT — The former psychiatrist of Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza has filed several requests for a diary kept by a woman he is alleged to have sexually assaulted, reports the News Times. Paul Fox is accused of sexual assault charges by an 18-year-old woman identified in court as Jane Doe.

Steven Smart, Fox's attorney, claimed Fox cannot get a fair trial without access to the diary. The sexual encounters between the victim and Fox are alleged to have occurred in his Brookfield office and on a sailboat on Candlewood Lake.

Prosecutors objected, citing privacy rights. The accused now lives in Maine, and he stopped seeing Lanza five years before the 2012 tragedy.
