Lake Lillinonah Home Owner Shot in Violent Home Invasion, Suspect at Large: Report
The suspect of a home invasion at a Lake Lillinonah residence is still at large after a break-in and shooting, according to police.

BRIDGEWATER, CT — A South Main Street home located on Route 133 near the Lake Lillinonah bridge in Bridgewater, just a few miles from Brookfield, was broken into early Thursday, according to The News Times, and the homeowner was shot.
Witnesses who called 911 told police they heard shots fired around 3:30 a.m. and saw the suspect fled the scene at a high rate of speed. One man who was inside of the home at the time was shot in the shoulder and transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
A New Milford police officer observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed along Route 7 and the vehicle did not stop for police, the report said. Bridgewater town officials said they believe the car fleeing from New Milford police officers hit a roadblock on South Main Street and pulled into the victim's driveway to switch cars.
