The new technology repair store is located in the Shop Rite plaza in Brookfield.

BROOKFIELD, CT - A new technology repair store called "uBreakiFix" opened in Brookfield on July 29 in the Shop Rite Plaza. The new store is the second location in Connecticut in addition to a store in Norwalk.

The store specializes in same-day repair service of small electronics, repairing cracked screens, water damage, software issues, camera issues and most other technical problems at its more than 220 stores across North America. The Brookfield location is owned and operated by Newtown resident David Ruhs, who plans to open at least five stores along the I-84 corridor. Ruhs comes from a Wall Street background and is passionate about bringing affordable technology repair to his community.

“After meeting with the leadership of uBreakiFix, I was impressed with their passion and attitude towards this business. I wanted to be part of the adventure,” Ruhs said. “At our Brookfield location, customers will experience top-notch customer service and great prices. Helping our customers save devices, data and memories is important to us.”
