Police Identify Man Killed in New Fairfield Crash
Breaking: One man was killed and another seriously injured after a fiery crash on Rte. 39 in New Fairfield Sunday.
NEW FAIRFIELD, CT — State police have identified the man who was killed in a serious car crash on Rte. 39 in New Fairfield Sunday as Ulysses A. Nunez, 42, of New York, NY. Nunez a passenger were traveling south on Rte. 39 when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole.
Police say the car became completely engulfed in flames, and Nunez was declared dead on scene. Nunez's passenger was transported to Danbury hospital with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by state police.
