Police Probing Suspicious Death in New Fairfield: State Police

NEW FAIRFIELD, CT — State police are investigating after they say a 55-year-old woman was found dead at a home located on Candlewood Road Tuesday morning. Police say they responded to the home at 9:30 a.m. for a reported untimely death, and detectives from the Western District Major Crime division responded to the scene. The death has been ruled suspicious, according to state police.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is conducting an examination to determine the cause of the woman's death, and police say there is no threat to the public.
