Sixth annual Roxbury Thanksgiving Day Race slated for November 23

Proceeds will be donated to Roxbury Scholarship Foundation, Roxbury Ambulance Association

ROXBURY – The sixth annual Roxbury Thanksgiving Day Charity Race will be run on Thursday, November 23, at 9 a.m. to benefit the Roxbury Scholarship Foundation and the Roxbury Ambulance Association.

The 3.1-mile event will start near the Everett B. Hurlburt Community Park at 18 Apple Lane, turn right onto Rocky Mountain Road and continue straight through Hemlock Road to near the end, when the runners will turnaround and retrace their steps to the starting line.

There is a $10 pre-registration fee that is available via Ultra Sign Up -https://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=105567 - with a handling charge of $3.62. Race-day registration will be taken on the day of the race from 7:30 to 8:50 a.m. at the community Park with a cost of $15 per entrant. The postponement date is Saturday, November 25, at 8:30 a.m.

Wood medallions created by Dave Harvey, a former season champion in the weekly Roxbury Road Runners Club Series, will be awarded to some of the top finishers. Refreshments will be available for all entrants.

The race is sanctioned by the Roxbury Road Runners Club.
