Woman Hospitalized After Falling From Candlewood Lake Dock: Report

BROOKFIELD, CT — A woman was hospitalized after she fell from a dock on Candlewood Lake in Brookfield Wednesday night, according to published reports.

Brookfield Fire Chief Andrew Ellis told WTNH the woman was given CPR and transported to Danbury hospital for further treatment.

Emergency crews were called to Beechwood Grove Road near the Danbury-Brookfield line around 9:50 p.m. for a report of a possible drowning, Ellis told the News-Times. When first responders arrived, the victim was out of the water and in a boat at a dock, according to the report.

As of Thursday evening, there is no word regarding the woman's condition. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
