2 More Flu Clinics Scheduled In Farmington Valley Region

The FVHD serves Avon, Canton, Farmington, Simsbury, Granby, Barkhamsted, Colebrook, East Granby, Hartland, and New Hartford.

CANTON, CT — Flu season is fast approaching, and a regional health department based in Canton is hosting two more vaccination clinics to help folks avoid serious illness.

The Farmington Valley Health District, which is located at 95 River Road, Canton, has flu shot clinics scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 30, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the FVHD.

The FVHD serves Avon, Canton, Farmington, Simsbury, Granby, Barkhamsted, Colebrook, East Granby, Hartland, and New Hartford.

Residents of those towns are eligible to attend the clinics.

Insurance is not required.

Flu can be especially dangerous to the very young and the elderly, but it can also impact anyone, with a vaccine able to ward off the flu or, at least, serious illness.
