Bear Killed By Vehicle In Canton: Reports
The incident happened on a busy state roadway on Saturday afternoon.
CANTON, CT — A collision Saturday afternoon in Canton resulted in a bear losing its life, according to reports citing police.
WFSB Channel 3 said the bear was struck and killed Saturday afternoon near the Simsbury town line.
According to Hearst Connecticut Media, the bear was killed on Route 44, a busy state roadway.

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has been urging folks to be bear aware and to avoid attracting them, such as by leaving bird seed out or food outside.
This incident happened on the same day a family in Farmington claimed a bear broke into their car.
