For Hannah Gangaware, one of the great aspects of event planning is taking a client’s ideas and perfecting them to create a memorable event.
“I love being able to work with other people and pull things together from just bits and pieces,” Gangaware said.
While her roots are in design and invitations, these days, event planning is a key part to Gangaware’s business, Dot G Designs
For about 10 years Gangaware, who lives in Canton with her husband and two daughters, has worked in the graphic and technical design. That includes four years with Simsbury Global Jet Services.
Along the way, she began making wedding invitations.
“That kind of evolved into event planning,” she said. What began as a service to family and friends two and half years ago evolved into a business.
She found that she really enjoyed working with people to plan something start to finish. These days she operates out of a small suite on Route 44 in Canton and plans all kinds of events such as weddings and parties, taking care of everything from the invitations, the event itself and memorable keepsakes.
Much of the work, including linens prints, is done right on site.
“I really enjoy the creative aspect of events and weddings,” she said.
The business can be found in Suite 300 at 163 Albany Turnpike behind On the Road Bookshop, and near KJ's Consignment and Curves. While she is often in the office, hours can very so appointments are suggested. Contact her at 860-899-4205 or dotgdesigns@gmail.com
