Canton FD Celebrates Cadet Program Grads

CANTON, CT — The Town of Canton Fire & EMS recently graduated three from its cadet program, with all three continuing on to serve their country and community.

The department honored Vinny Scalzo and Derek Linnick for completing the program, with both now going into the military.

"While they won’t be joining us as full members, we are incredibly proud to see them take the next step in serving their country," wrote the department.

Linnick is heading to the U.S. Air Force, and Scalzo is joining the U.S. Army.

Also graduating is Nick Graziano, who will now become a full member of the department following his successful completion of the cadet program.

"Nick completed Firefighter I training while still in high school and now joins us interior qualified and ready to serve," wrote the fire department.
