The Canton High School varsity baseball team pulled out a win against Somers Monday afternoon in the team's last home game of the season.
It was also a night to honor seniors as some team parents surprised the those players and their parents with banners on the fence at Bowdoin Field.
A celebration was also held after the game.
Senior players include Dylan Thomas, Patrick Sullivan, Chris Van de Bogart and Jessie McDaid.
Two of the players, Van de Bogart and Sullivan, have been 3-year starters, coach Brian Roy said.
Roy said this will be the first time in a couple years, the team, which is now 9-8, has qualified for the tournament.
The high school baseball team has also been one that has received many sportsmanship awards.
Roy said this team is once again a good group.
"I've got good kids," he said. "They play with energy, work hard and do what they're supposed to do."
