Canton Library Is All About Kids This Saturday

CANTON, CT — Saturday is "Take Your Child to the Library Day" nationally and the Canton Public Library is no different.

The library, located at 40 Dyer Ave., Canton, is hosting myriad programs for children that day, offering parents a cost-effective day out in the heart of winter on Saturday, Feb. 1.

"Your local library is an ideal place for children to play, discover, make friends, and have fun," wrote the Canton Public Library in an announcement.
"And Take Your Child to the Library Day is the perfect time to discover our library magic."

Among the day's offerings in Canton are a free puppet show at 11:30 a.m., a scavenger hunt, and the start of the library's annual preschool art show.
