Canton Police Urge Bicycle Safety
The Canton Police Department this week compiled a comprehensive dos and don'ts list for folks regarding safe bicycling.
CANTON, CT — Spring's arrival means better weather and, with that, more folks and children are taking to the streets via the two-wheel, pedaled mode of transportation.
As a result, the Canton Police Department this week urged folks to be safe on the roads when pedaling or driving where people are pedaling.
The CPD published a list of dos and don'ts regarding bicycle safety for those on them and those near them.

"Bicycles have been around for more than a century and their designs have varied greatly during that time," wrote the CPD.
"While styles, weight, and colors have changed over the years, one thing has remained constant – a bicycle is only as safe as the rider makes it. Follow these rules to ensure that the helmet you wear fits properly and that the bike you ride is as safe as possible."
