Canton Rec Aims To Make Runners Of Us All
The 'Rookie Running Class' starts next week and aims to prepare anyone for an upcoming 5K road race in Canton.
CANTON, CT — Ever see someone jogging by the roadside while driving and wish you, too, could run like that for your body and mind?
The Canton Parks and Recreation Department can help.
That's because Canton Rec is sponsoring its "Rookie Running Club," which is designed to turn the most sluggish of couch potatoes into runners capable of completing a 5K.

While the course will prep people to compete in the race and, possibly, take up the running habit, fees for the road races are not included in the class fee.
The class fee is $120 for a Canton resident/$130 for a non-resident.
The course will offer a mix of running, walking, and yoga exercises designed to prepare anyone for the race and "feel their absolute best inside."
