Canton Shopping Mecca To Host Series Of Blood Drives

CANTON, CT — Folks looking to enjoy a little shopping, a bite to eat and, perhaps, save a life or two can do that starting Friday at Canton's largest shopping destination.

The Shops at Farmington Valley recently announced the second annual partnership with the American Red Cross in a series of monthly blood drives beginning Friday, March 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The American Red Cross blood drives will take place in Suite 911, next to Golf Lounge 18.

At each drive, all participants are given an opportunity to enter a raffle to receive up to $200 in gift cards to selected shops and restaurants.

Gift card prizes include a $100 gift card to 110 Grill, $50 gift card to Jefferson Fry Co. and a $50 gift card to Kindred and Crew.

“In 2022, The Shops were able to host nine blood drives and collect enough blood to help over 600 people,” said Elizabeth Ackerman, general manager at The Shops.

“We are thrilled to be able to partner with The American Red Cross again this year to provide a welcoming experience, in a convenient location with free parking, helping those who can donate their blood to support this incredible organization.”
