Canton's Annual Town Meeting Tonight To Look At Town Finances

How tax dollars will be spent is the primary topic of tonight's meeting at 6 p.m. at the Canton Community Center.

CANTON, CT — A town meeting in Canton tonight will help residents learn abouit the upcoming budget process as well as finalize the annual financial report.

The annual town meeting is Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 6 p.m. in Room F at the Canton Community Center, 40 Dyer Ave., Canton.

It is only for informational purposes and no binding voter action will take place.

The first item is to "review a presentation on the budget process by the board of finance, board of selectmen and board of education."

The second item is to accept the annual fiscal report of the town and dedicate it to Henry Bahre "for his commitment and contributions to the Town of Canton."
