Canton's New Ambulance Has Arrived

The Canton Fire & EMS Services Department said the new vehicle will be in use soon.

CANTON, CT — With Canton's emergency responders off to a busy start to 2025, the recent addition to their fleet that arrived late last week is welcomed.

The Canton Fire & EMS Services Department announced that a new ambulance has arrived, providing responders with state-of-the-art capabilities to help those in distress.

Called a "Type II" ambulance, the vehicle is looking a little plain, but the cream-colored van will soon be adorned with departmental logos and insignias.

"Once the graphics and radios are installed, it will be ready to serve our community," wrote the department recently.

News of the new ambulance comes as the department reports that it is off to a "busy" start to 2025, with 36 fire calls in January and 140 medical calls.
