Cherry Brook Primary School hosted an opening celebration for its art show Thursday night.
Art teacher Ellen Raposo said the show consists of approximately 1,000 pieces from all grade levels from pre-K to third.
Parent volunteers spent the past three days hanging and displaying pieces throughout the school hallways and library.
"It's our way of showing the importance of art in public schools, show what we teach and give kids a sense of pride," said art teacher Kezia Hearn.
"The kids are so excited to show their work," Raposo added.
The artwork remains on display through June 10.
