It was the Wild, Wild West at Canton Middle School Thursday night as a promotion ceremony was held for 8th graders.
The evening included a performance by the 8th Grade Band, remarks by class president Sean Sullivan, 8th grade social studies teacher Joseph Casorio, Board of Education member Peg Berry and Principal Joseph Scheideler.
Throughout the evening, the Wild West theme was in effect, including some carefully edited videos that showed Scheideler's Hollywood career.
The ceremony ended with a class video put together by parent Jen Charron and the reception and decorations committee was chaired by Elizabeth Haynes and Marianne Vacca.
