Family Truck Event In Canton To Help Children's Hospital
The Shops at Farmington Valley and Canton Police Department are hosting 'Truckyard,' a touch-a-truck event to raise money for CCMC.

CANTON, CT — The local police department and the town's biggest shopping destination are combining for a memorable family event Saturday, Sept. 9, that will raise money for the state's major children's hospital.
The Shops at Farmington Valley and the Canton Police Department are jointly hosting "Truckyard," a touch-a-truck event for children and families that will raise money for the Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford.
It will take place on Saturday, Sept. 9, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Tickets are $5 each, with all proceeds going to fund hospital programs and help the hospital recognize Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month.
Once inside a special area of the shopping destination, families will be able to climb aboard various trucks, cars and vehicles.

In addition, there will be games, vendors and music.
Meanwhile, Shop Rite will be under a tent with doughnuts and cider.
