Flu Shots Available At Regional Health Agency In Canton Next Week, Register Now

The FVHD serves Avon, Canton, Farmington, Simsbury, Granby, Barkhamsted, Colebrook, East Granby, Hartland, and New Hartford.

CANTON, CT — A multi-town health department based in Canton is hosting a flu shot clinic next week, with folks urged to register this week.

The Farmington Valley Health District is hosting two clinics next week, one on Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., and the other on Thursday, Oct. 16, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Both flu vaccine clinics will take place at the FVHD headquarters at 95 River Road, Canton, and they are open to residents of the district's member towns.

The FVHD serves the towns of Avon, Canton, Farmington, Simsbury, Granby, Barkhamsted, Colebrook, East Granby, Hartland, and New Hartford.

Flu can be especially serious for the very old and the very young, and a vaccine is seen as a way to mitigate serious illness during the cold-weather flu season.
