Live-Saving Classes Offered In Canton
Canton responders are asking residents to sign up for special training in CPR and AED use, two ways to help those in cardiac arrest.
CANTON, CT — Local responders are asking Canton residents to sign up to learn how to save a life via classes on CPR and automated external defibrillation (AED).
Registration for the free training sessions is ongoing.
Presented by Northeast Fire Rescue instructors, the classes are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with three specific dates available: Sept. 20, Oct. 19, and Nov. 8.

All classes will take place at the Town of Canton Fire & EMS Station 1 at 51 River Road, Canton.
"Space is limited," wrote the Canton Police Department in an announcement. "Don’t miss this opportunity to get certified and prepared to help save a life."

Both CPR and AED use are fast ways trained people can save a life should a person experience cardiac arrest.
