New Canton Emergency Vehicle Fully Operational
The vehicle made its first call on Wednesday after it was delivered in February.

CANTON, CT — Newly decorated with the insignia of the Canton Fire & EMS Department, a new ambulance officially started service in town this week.
The department on Tuesday said the new ambulance — called a "Type II" ambulance — officially had its first call.
That journey took a patient to the UConn Health Center in nearby Farmington, according to local fire officials.

In February, the cream-colored ambulance was delivered to Canton, but more time was required for it to be officially incorporated into service.
Since then, the ambulance has had various logos placed on it signifying its affiliation with Canton and volunteers were trained to operate the ambulance.
