Popular Farmers Market Opens For Year In Canton On Sunday
The Canton Main Street Farmers Market in Collinsville starts Sunday, June 8, and continues every Sunday through October.
CANTON, CT — A popular feature of Canton's spring/summer scene starts up this weekend in the form of the Canton Main Street Farmers Market in Collinsville.
The weekly market of locally produced food and goods reopens Sunday, June 8, with 21 full-season vendors and another 12 scheduled appearances throughout the year.
"Each week yields a feast for the senses thanks to ever-changing produce, cut flowers, mushrooms, sprouts, soap, live music, and pottery," wrote market organizers in an announcement.
"A few steps from the market, visitors will find quality hiking, biking, canoeing, and dining options."
Meanwhile, several popular vendors are returning to the market this year. Among them:
• Brit Brands with their smashing good British baked goods.
• Lavender Hill's goat cheese is produced with recipes from Lost Ruby Farm.
• The Craft Bakery celebrates the French and New World with their treats.
The market is open from 10 am to 1 pm every Sunday from June 8 to Oct. 12 in historic Collinsville.
The family-friendly event features stunning views of the Collins Co. and the Farmington River.
