Regional Health Agency Hosting Flu Shot Clinic Wednesday, Nov. 8

The event Nov. 8 is for Avon, Barkhamsted, Canton, Colebrook, East Granby, Farmington, Granby, Hartland, New Hartford and Simsbury.

CANTON, CT — After spending the day waiting in line to vote, going out the next day to protect yourself from the flu is a logical step for the day after.

The Farmington Valley Health District, which is based in Canton, but oversees several area towns, is hosting a special flu vaccine clinic on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at its headquarters at 95 River Road, Canton.

The FVHD serves the towns of Avon, Barkhamsted, Canton, Colebrook, East Granby, Farmington, Granby, Hartland, New Hartford and Simsbury.

Wednesday's clinic will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m., then resume from 2:15 to 4:15 p.m. later that day.

While COVID has been the dominant illness in recent years regarding vaccination talk, flu vaccines are also seen as key to avoiding serious illness during the cold-weather months.
