Once upon a time, the Canton Tax Collector was content with your hard-earned cash (via check or credit card was OK too) but now Lisa Theroux wants more.
"The tax collector wants your blood," Theroux said.
While the comments of bleeding taxpayers dry could be forthcoming, Theroux really wants people to donate blood but only for a few minutes on one July day.
The tax office is sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive to take place in the Canton Town Hall Auditorium from 11 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31.
Theroux said slots remain for about 35 more people. Appointments are requested so the office can schedule time slots. Stop by the tax office or call (860) 693-7843.
