Tip a Canton Volunteer Firefighter/EMT at Dish ‘n Dat on Aug. 22

4th Annual Fundraiser to Take Place During 2013 Sales Tax Holiday

Dish ‘n Dat announces its annual fundraiser for the Town of Canton Volunteer Fire & EMS Department called, Tip a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT.

During the event, Canton’s volunteer firefighters & EMTs assist Dish ‘n Dat’s professional wait staff, during both the lunch and dinner service. Their roles will include: hosting, seating, clearing tables, carrying out food or helping out behind the bar.

The Department encourages everyone to visit www.cantonfireandems.org to download a Dish’n Dat Tip a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT Coupon for themselves, a friend, family member and/or neighbor.

The Coupon may be used to enjoy either lunch or dinner at Dish ‘n Dat, which will then donate 10 percent of your total food bill back to Canton’s volunteer firefighters & EMTs. In addition, Dish ‘n Dat will also generously contribute 10 percent of the total house take for the entire day to Canton’s volunteer firefighters & EMTs.

Since 2010, Dish ‘n Dat and its customers have raised over $3,200 through Tip a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT.   

The event takes place Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, during the Connecticut Sales Tax Holiday: 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Dish ‘n Dat, The Shoppes at Farmington Valley; 110 Albany Turnpike, Canton, CT 06019; Reservations Recommended: (860) 693-4927.
