Youth Mental Health Topic Of First Aid Course At Regional Health Department

CANTON, CT — A Canton-based regional health department serving several towns is offering special training for folks to learn about youth mental health emergencies and what to do.
Registration is available for Youth Mental Health First Aid, a two-day training to prepare people, especially caregivers, to have important conversations about mental health.
The FVHD is hosting what it's calling "Youth Mental Health First Aid" at its offices located at 95 River Road, Canton.

Classes will take place from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, and Tuesday, July 8.
The FVHD serves the towns of Avon, Barkhamsted, Canton, Colebrook, East Granby, Farmington, Granby, Hartland, New Hartford, and Simsbury.

Light refreshments will be provided, and folks must attend both sessions to be certified.
