Josh Budd Benefit Softball Tournament

Cheshire Youth Baseball/Softball has organized a tournament to benefit Josh Budd of Cheshire who was severely injured last month while serving with the Army in Afghanistan.

A benefit softball game for Josh Budd of Cheshire has been planned:

  • Date: Sunday, August 21st, 2011. 

    Time: 9am-5pm

  • Place: Bartlem Park

    • Registration Fee: $ 20 player

  • Tournament style: Pool Play/Single Elimination. Guaranteed 2 games

  • Number of Teams: Event is open to the FIRST 30 that register (10 teams per division)

  • Team Size: 8-12 players per team...each team must declare a team captain.  

  • The CYB/CYS tournament will help offset some of the medical costs that will be incurred by the Budd family while Josh is treated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Maryland. 

    Josh was injured last month while serving with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan. He lost one leg and his other leg was severely damaged.

    Please join CYB on this day as we offer our support and gratitude to Josh and help, in whatever small way we can, to assist Josh and the Budds in his recovery.
