Cheshire Synagogue Offering Free Sunday School

From Congregation Kol Ami in Cheshire:

This year, Congregation Kol Ami invites anyone with children in the age group of Pre. K, Kindergarten and First Grade, to attend our religious school free of charge.  You don’t even need to be a member of Kol Ami to take advantage of this special offer. Come and meet us and our Kol Ami Family!

Our Religious School is a full service school from Pre-K through Bar and/or Bat Mitzvah with professional teachers and assistants.  Our children attend Pre-K through Grade 2 on Sundays, and starting in Grade 3, begin Hebrew School on Wednesdays as well as attend on Sunday.

On Shabbat morning, our Bar and Bat Mitzvah students attend a discussion class before Services on Saturdays, and then attend Shabbat Services.  These students do not attend Sunday School.

On Shabbat morning, one of our regular teachers meets with the Bar and Bat Mitzvah class before services.  Later, at congregation Shabbat services, there is interaction between the Rabbi, the congregation and the students about the week’s Parashah (Torah Reading) before the Torah Reading. The students then fully understand the portion and give the rest of the congregation “their take” on the portion and its meaning today.

Our new policy this year enables families with young children to begin their children’s Jewish education without worrying about cost.  We want to help the children learn about Jewish holidays and the fun of family traditions. They then will have the pleasure of enjoying the customs of their families at a young and impressionable age.

All classes will be held at Kol Ami, 1484 Highland Ave. in Cheshire.

Please contact Craig Goldstein at cheshirefitness@msn.com,  Guy Darter at sales@darterpress.com or feel free to call Kol Ami at 203 272-1006 and leave your name and phone number.  You’ll get a call back for sure!
