• Christmas Trees, Cardboard Included At Recycling Event In Cheshire: Here's What To Know (patch.com) — Cheshire residents have a chance to clear out holiday clutter at a free electronics, mattress, cardboard, and Christmas tree recycling event on Saturday, Jan. 10 at the old transfer station on Waterbury Road. The town is also accepting grass clippings, leaves, branches, and brush that meet specific size and preparation rules, and proof of Cheshire residency is required to participate.

• Update On Residential Sewer Use Billing In Cheshire (patch.com) — Cheshire officials are letting residents know that delayed residential sewer use bills were finally mailed on Dec. 31 and can also be accessed online. Homeowners can look up their bill using a bill number or property Unique ID, and can call the local Tax Office with any questions.
   

• DMV installs 36 electric vehicle charging stations at 6 branch locations in Connecticut (fox61.com) — Electric vehicle drivers in Cheshire can now charge at new Level 2 stations installed at the DMV branch on Highland Avenue, costing $0.32 per kilowatt. The upgrade is part of a statewide rollout of 36 chargers at six DMV locations, funded through a VW settlement grant and overseen by state environmental officials.
