Sewer Use Charge Bills Delayed In Cheshire (patch.com) — Cheshire residents should be aware that sewer use charge bills are being mailed later than usual because of a processing company issue, and payments for 2026 are not yet being accepted. The annual 2026 sewer rate for a single-family home is set at $490, and the town’s Collector of Revenue will post updates on the Cheshire website as mailing and payment details are finalized.
   

2. Survey: Feedback Sought On Summer Concert Series In Cheshire (patch.com) — Cheshire’s Parks and Recreation Department is asking residents to weigh in on the 2025 Bartlem Beats Summer Concert Series to help shape plans for 2026. Locals are encouraged to complete an online survey and can submit responses through January 20, 2026, giving the town direct feedback on future concerts.
   

3. Hometown Hero: James Caldarella, Cheshire Academy (wpri.com) — A standout guard from Cheshire Academy, James Caldarella, is being recognized as a Hometown Sports Hero for helping the Cats to a strong 6-1 start. After four successful years at Hendricken and a big AAU summer, he’s already committed to play Division I basketball at the Air Force Academy, where he’ll balance military life with top-level competition.
   

4. State DMV installs 36 electric vehicle charging stations (wfsb.com) — Electric vehicle drivers in Cheshire can now plug in at new state-installed charging stations at the DMV branch on Highland Avenue, costing $0.32 per kilowatt. The Level 2 chargers are part of a six-town rollout funded through a VW settlement grant and overseen by the state’s energy and environmental agency.
